SAITO RESEARCH GROUP
at OHIO University
Welcome to the Saito Group!
We are a young research group based at the Ohio University in Athens, OH.
Our main research area is the development of new synthetic methods involving main group elements, such as sulfur and phosphorus. We are currently interested in three topics:
1) New synthetic methods for the preparation of sulfur functional groups (S(II), S(IV), and S(VI) motifs)
2) Transition-metal-free C–C bond-forming cross-couplings based on sulfur chemistry
3) Late-stage aromatic C–H bond functionalization with high positional selectivity
