Dr. Fumito Saito

Fumito Saito received his B.S. degree in 2012 from Keio University (Japan) working in the research group of Prof. Fumitoshi Kakiuchi. He moved to Switzerland to pursue his M.S. and doctoral degrees at ETH Zurich under the supervision of Prof. Jeffrey W. Bode. After receiving his Dr. sc. degree in 2019, he joined the group of Prof. Peter R. Schreiner at Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany where he was an an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral fellow.​ In 2022, he began his independent career at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany associated with the group of Prof. Oliver Trapp.
Since August 2025, he has been an Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Ohio University.
